Warhammer Twitch Previews - Warhammer Fest 2021 Day 4

Kicking off with a bang! An Idoneth Deepkin warband for Warhammer Underworlds Direchasm, including a giant crab. I would want to get this just to scream “crab battle” at the top of my lungs. Not to mention the fangly fish looks pretty cool. Not to mention them being from the depths of the sea is a good excuse to play with some resin. It is also the last warband to be released in the current season for Warhammer Underworlds. I think all the races in Age of Sigmar now have at least one warband so I’m curious to see where they go after this.

Necromunda House of Shadow is the expansion for House Delaque. The  Psy-Ghesit and Nacht-Ghul look pretty cool, former apparently have some sort of physic-mechanic-snake weapon, which is so very Warhammer. More disturbing is the Piscean Spektor which is very reminiscent of the squiddies from The Matrix. More and more I’m really tempted to pick up a Necromunda gang, probably Goliaths if I’m honest. Or the Corpse Grinders as I’m a Chaos lad these days.

New trailer for the Necromunda Hired Gun video game showing off the stub cannon. I am a little tempted by this, it looks like a mix of Doom and Borderlands. Certainly more appealing than other Warhammer games that are just ports of the tabletop game.

Plastic Thunderhawk for Aeronatuica! Space Marines and Aeldari are on the way in the next box called Wrath of Angels. The Aeldari are getting some Phoenix Bombers and Nightwing fighters whilst the Space Marines are getting Xiphon fighters, Stormeagle gunships and the aforementioned Thunderhawk. Story-wise it looks to feature a conflict between the Salamanders chapter and the Saim-Hann Craftworld over some volcanic planet. Although it does remind me I need to crack on with getting a hold of the Astra Militarum and Tau fighters, they have been on my hit list since they were announced more or less. The real question is do I want to get the Space Marine ones? Maybe? I’m having fun not collecting things not being Space Marine centric for once. Maybe I’ll grab a Thunderhawk as the model does look really cool.

A lot of good stuff revealed here, although Twitch chat was super mad that there wasn’t anything said about Cursed City. But I can imagine Games Workshop is going to keep pretty quiet about it to be honest. Some others were a little disappointed that nothing was said about Kill Team and Adeptus Titanicus, but I guess they had some fairly recent releases. But as far as what was shown it was all very impressive, good to see that Games Workshop is still supporting the smaller games. Well, most of them anyway.
